Story
How your life changes in minutes, is scary to think.
Since the age of 19 I was told I had PCOS (Polocysytic Ovaries Syndrome), I was told I could live a normal life and still have a family.
Now at 24, my partner 34, after 6 years of trying we finally had hope.
I finally felt happy, my depression got easier, I could smile.
In October 2017 my partner and I had been transferred to a fertility specialist, I had transvaginal scans, ultrasounds, every blood test you could think of, my partner gave his sample, I lost weight for my medication. Which they finally gave me.
My first cycle I was put on 50mg Clomid (clomifene citrate) unfortunatley no ovulation.
So my second cycle I was easier to 100mg of clomid, fantastic ovulation to which is what I stayed.
Cycle after cycle went by. I finally had a positive test, and unfortunately a week later our baby was gone. We knew that was a chance. So we continued on hoping.
Today at our 6 months consultant meeting, we were told the chances now are very very slim, they now wish to give me a Hysteroslpingogram (to check my tubes).
However the next stage is IVF, I am trying so hard not to break because I am no entities to it.
NHS Law in England states: No couples are entitled to funding if one or both parties have a child.
NHS Law in Wales states: Funding One Course of IVF to couples with or without a child from the parties.....
My partner has a daughter, I have nothing to do with. However because of this law, funding is limited, which means my human rights and my woman's rights, and my body is not my choice!
I don't feel that's fair on myself or others and I also will be starting Petitions for law and funding to be changed.
I ask for as much help as anyone can offer. :(
Thank you
