Story
Jacob is 4 in October
we are raising funds for our son Jacob to have a sdr surgery currently funding isn't available on the nhs it was recently withdrawn after Jacob had been refered by his consultant it will cost 21,000 for him to have the life changing operation to enable Jacob to walk
without the op jacob faces life in a wheelchair he will have many long painful ops on his legs but by him having this one opperation it will change his life forever he will lead a fairly good life he would love to be able to walk to the park play with his friends outdoors Jacob often wants to play in his garden but finds it hard to play he spends a lot of time crawling because walking with his frame tires him causes pain his physio explained Jacob pain is like us adults having leg cramps l no this hurts but Jacob faces pain every day we all take things for granted l feel sad that Jacob can't do the things he really wants to do
Jacob is fully aware of his condition he said to me mummy when l get new legs im going to walk just like my friends he's already seen drs in Bristol who said he's perfect for sdr surgery Jacob has good upper body strength which is needed to help him with physio after the op as he will be taught all over again how to walk Jacob will attend mainstream school next year we want to give our boy his dream to be able to walk by the time he starts school we can't do it alone
please help our fun loving little boy anyone that meets him adores him he has a caring nature always happy
hes very determined he enjoys physio he knowns it helps his pain he has physio at home every day
Jacob mussle will over time start to shorten this is why his surgeon wants to the op by the time hes 5 with the sdr op he could do most things 4 year olds love to do be in less pain not ended spending his life in a wheel chair no matter how small the donation Jacob & his family will be truly greatful thanks for reading Jacobs story .
