Thank you for taking the time to visit our just giving page.

On the 16th February 2016, our beautiful baby girl arrived 6 weeks early, weighing only 3lb 10oz. Isla spent her first 17 days on the Special Care Baby Unit, receiving the vital care she needed.

The Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle, care for babies born early, babies with breathing difficulties or feeding problems and babies with infection or abnormalities.
They also provides special care for babies who may need to have their breathing and heart rate monitored. If they need help feeding they may be fed through a tube, or be supplied with extra oxygen or treated with ultra violet light for jaundice.

This amazing unit is close to our hearts as it also gave us the help and provided support we needed as a family.
Funding for new equipment will help them continue their incredible work and support other babies and their families. ❤
