    Story

You may have seen in the Warrington Guardian last week that Dan Phillips, 27, has been selected to represent the UK in the Invictus Games later this year.

Former Bridgewater High School pupil Dan Phillips will complete in athletics and swimming at the 2017 Invictus Games in Canada later this year. Dan had his leg amputated following an accident and subsequently suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety.

All participants in the games are wounded, injured and sick serving armed forces personnel or veterans. Dan has previously taken part in the Warriors Games in the USA and the British Paratriathlon Championships, where he came first in his classification.

Dan has said to the Warrington Guardian "No matter what life throws at you, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and the injury does not define who I am and what I can achieve."

Hopefully we can bring a little light to Dan and his family after what has clearly been a challenging time for them, by raising money for a weekend away, to spend some quality time together prior to the Invictus Games.

Take a look at the Warrington Guardian article here:

If you know Dan personally, went to Bridgewater High School, are from Warrington, or want to show your appreciation for Dan representing our country in the Invictus Games, please donate! absolutely any amount will be greatly received.

If you do know Dan then it would be kindly appreciated if you could keep this a secret from him.

    Thank you so much! :-)
