Amelia is 4 and has numerous sensory, mobility and learning disabilities. Since birth she's suffered from various complications and doctors are still trying to confirm a definitive diagnosis. They suspect she may have a very rare genetic disorder called Congenital Myasthenic Syndrome, but investigations are ongoing. On top of this she suffers from:
Autism
Epilepsy
Central Hypotonia with marked joint hypermobility- basically she's vey floppy!
Delayed visual maturation and nystagmus
Hypothyroidism
Feeding difficulties- she's fed via a gastrostomy tube
Marked sensory sensitives and multiple motor stereotopies linked to her autism
Delayed speech
Reduced growth and short stature
Learning delay and disability
Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease

She has a lot going on bless her, but she's such a happy soul and so eager and determined to progress.

Amelia is unable to walk unaided and even with a pacer struggles to maintain an upright position. Her school were lucky enough to obtain a Firefly Upsee (https://www.fireflyfriends.com/uk/upsee) see link and tried it with Ameila and it proved to be hugely successful! So much so, we'd like to purchase one for home use but it's not cheap at £295 plus VAT.
The gym I work at and I have arranged a Family Fun and Total Wipeout event day to raise money to help purchase this piece of equipment which will give Amelia a new lease of life. It will enable us to get out and about without her being constrained to her wheelchair and allow her to explore the world around her from an upright position whilst also helping to strengthen her core and legs.
I've set up this page at the request of those unable to make the event but who wanted to donate.
Every little helps and any money raised would help us towards buying this for her. If we are successful in exceeding our target then I will either donate the money to her school or a charity who has supported us or buy extra equipment for her .
