Hello all I can confirm that Alex ran the Edinburgh 5 km in under 40 minutes on Saturday and is still recovering from the punishing uphill course. I also swam 1.275 km yesterday (51 laps of the pool) in penance for not completing the run under doctors orders due to my dodgy ankle. Thanks everyone from Amy, Alex and I for your help and support but most importantly your donations. Its much appreciated and without your help Amy couldn't have been able to move to a new specially adapted flat which she need a motorised wheel chair to access.

Today is the run! Unfortunately my physio suggests I don’t run today due to the flare up of my old Achilles’ tendon issue. She suggests I attempt a swim-a-thon (i believe the equivalent compared with a triathlon is 35 lengths) instead which I intend to do on Monday. Sorry folks!!
