Story
Olek was born prematurely and with pneumonia.
By his 3rd day of life he was diagnosed with a serious heart condition, which was operated on when he was 4 months old.
At 12 months old he had a percutaneous endoscopic gastronomy due to his lack of weight gain.
This was not successful and caused many infections.
He also suffered a few lung infections which led to him having to treated in the intensive care unit.
Aged 18 months Olek was diagnosed with hydrocephalus.
At 3 years old he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
He is now 4 years old and is making huge progress. He is learning to sit up on his own and also to make a few steps.
It is all hard work for him, but he is a fighter and is doing well. Every day he has to endure at least 2 hours of physiotherapy and massage to release muscle tension and increase strength.
He now needs stem cell treatment to further his progress, but this is not available to him from the health authority.
We need to raise at least £10k to give him a fighting chance.
This will pay for the treatment, aftercare and specialist equipment he will need.
Thank you for reading this.
Please help if you can, he's such a lovely young boy who needs our help.
