Those who know me know I've always battled with my weight. In May I turn 50 years old so that's 40 years of fighting.
Well turning 50 is turning a corner, I've never felt healthier or fitter after working really hard this year. To celebrate my half century I've decided not to holiday or party, I've decided to climb Snowdon with friends and colleagues from work. This is totally alien to me and scares me immensely so to spur me on I've decided to raise money for a charity that's close to my heart. A friends beautiful teenage daughter "Corah Slaney" lost her precious life to a cruel disease called The Mitochondrial Disease. There is no known cure and very little awareness. There is no rhyme or reason to who this evil disease attacks and it is very difficult to diagnose. The money I raise will go towards helping to raise that awareness and or to help those families who find themselves fighting this battle with their children.
