Iʼve raised £190 to Donate to our Tansley Primary School
- Derbyshire Dales District, UK
- Funded on Thursday, 22nd November 2018
Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
Approaching the age of 70 I have all of the "stuff" I need. So I have decided to say to my party guests that I would prefer not to receive any presents on my birthday. Nevertheless I know giving is a nice thing to do so I am asking them if they would you be willing to donate to a cause which is close to my heart...both literally and metaphorically.
Living right next to Tansley Primary School I see the wonderful learning environment that is provided for the youngsters in our village. But after years of financial austerity our school needs help more than ever because the money from taxation just isn't enough to provide the resources that are needed to support our hardworking headteacher and her staff.
So if YOU feel the urge to give too, please make a donation - any amount would be welcome.
THANK YOU!

I'm from the baby-boomer generation who have had all the advantages of post-war Britain and few of its hardships. Supporting young people in our community is one way that our "have-it-all" generation can redress the balance.
