During my winter holiday this year, I will spend a week volunteering as an Atlantic Pacific International Rescue Boats crew member for ERCI (Emergency Response Centre International) on the Island of Lesvos, Greece. Atlantic Pacific is a non-profit organisation that I am involved with at Atlantic College - they provide crew and lifeboats in situations where there are none and ERCI is a Greek non-profit organisation that provides emergency response and humanitarian aid in life threatening environments. Their operation in Lesvos aims to assist the safe rescue of hundreds of people arriving on a daily basis in sometimes treacherous conditions. I will be a member of their search and rescue team operating an inshore RIB as part of this effort.

I have set up this crowd funding page to raise a £270 contribution toward my flight tickets to get to Lesvos which cost me £534 - the remaining £264 plus travel to and from the airport I am self-funding. Anything I raise above £270 I will split and give directly to ERCI and Atlantic Pacific.
