I have offered to raise money for Giraffe - a social enterprise charity operating only in Perthshire. Giraffe aims to support individuals who need a bit more help into employment by providing sructured training, work experiance and social support.

My daughter Lauren, has been coming to Giraffe as part of school work experience and is loving learning new cooking skills and developing great customer service techniques.

But for some people, they’d give anything just to have a job to go to. In Perth, there are many who, for whatever reason, cannot find employment. This could be due to disabilities, health issues or other barriers which mean that through no fault of their own they’re unable to find a job."

I am delighted to be able to support Giraffe through seeking sponsors while I run the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday 27 May 2018, supported by my employer, SSE.
