Last night my friend called me crying that her home was on fire! Her older boy Bryan (my Godson) who normally does not speak due to the severe autism came running shouting MAMA FIRE! That is when she realised that her apartment block was on fire. She has two boys both suffering due to autism, she is a full time career for them. She lost everything, all she could do is grab her boys and run to save their lives. 

They are unharmed but in the fire they have lost everything they collected and bought over the years. In the apartment she had not only private possessions like white goods, electronics, clothing and furniture she also had all sensory toys, all equipment purchased from the family fund, everything that built security for her boys.

Due to autism boys are not dealing well with changes, last night they spend with us in my 3 bedroom house, 5 adults and 4 children. That night was a nightmare. Bryan became aggressive wanting to "go home" Mateusz managed to fall asleep but it was not easy, there were screams and fits of aggression. You can imagine that we can't help long term, we were told by the building management company that we can go to the hotel but unfortunately Anna would have to pay out of her pocket with the hope that she will be reimbursed in the future and that unfortunately is not an option she can afford.  

We know that the council will help with the sleeping arrangement but it will take time and there are 10 other families in the similar situation evacuated last night left with nothing. We are asking Your help as a last resort, my family and we are trying our hardest to help but we can't make it ourselves. Due to the divorce and separation from the boy's father Anna had no money to continue her contents insurance payments and her policy lapsed. Please find it in your heart to support this lovely lady and her boys Bryan (7) and Mateusz (6).For all donations we are extremely grateful.

Zeszłej nocy moja przyjaciółka zadzwoniła do mnie z płaczem, że jej dom się pali!

Jej starszy syn Bryan (mój chrześniak), który normalnie nie mówi z powodu ciężkiego autyzmu, przybiegł do niej z krzykiem MAMA FIRE!

Wtedy zdała sobie sprawę, że jej blok mieszkalny się palił. Ma dwóch synków cierpiących na autyzm, jest dla nich opiekunką. Straciła wszystko, jedyne, co mogła zrobić, to złapać chłopców i uciekać, by ratować im życie. Są bez szwanku, ale w ogniu stracili wszystko, co zebrali i kupili przez lata.

W mieszkaniu miała nie tylko rzeczy prywatne jak sprzęt AGD, elektronikę, ubrania i meble, miała też wszystkie zabawki sensoryczne, cały sprzęt zakupiony z Family Fund, wszystko co budowało bezpieczeństwo dla jej chłopców. Z powodu autyzmu chłopcy nie radzą sobie dobrze ze zmianami, ostatnią noc spędzili z nami w moim 3 pokojowym domu, 5 dorosłych i 4 dzieci. Ta noc była koszmarem. Bryan stał się agresywny chcąc "iść do domu" Mateuszowi udało się zasnąć, ale nie było łatwo, były krzyki i napady agresji. Możecie sobie wyobrazić, że nie możemy pomóc na dłuższą metę, firma zarządzająca budynkiem powiedziała nam, że możemy jechać do hotelu, ale niestety Anna musiałaby zapłacić z własnej kieszeni z nadzieją, że w przyszłości zostanie jej to zwrócone i na to niestety nie może sobie pozwolić. Wiemy, że Council (Urząd Miasta) pomoże w zaaranżowaniu miejsca do spania, ale zajmie to trochę czasu, a 10 innych rodzin w podobnej sytuacji ewakuowanych zeszłej nocy którzy również zostali bez niczego.

Prosimy o pomoc, moja rodzina i ja staramy się pomóc, ale sami nie możemy tego zrobić. Z powodu rozwodu i separacji z ojcem chłopców Ania nie miała pieniędzy na dalsze opłacanie ubezpieczenia majątkowego, i jej polisa wygasła. Bardzo proszę o wsparcie dla niej i jej synów Bryana (7) i Mateusza (6). Za wszystkie darowizny jesteśmy niezmiernie wdzięczni.
