Weʼve raised £852 to enable me to go to Florence racing dragon boats against BC Teams. I aim to raise funds to cover expenses. XS donations will go 2 club.

Funded on Friday, 31st August 2018

    Story

Every week I train with a group to race in a dragon boat. This year we are off to Florence in July to compete in the Eorld participatory games which is ever four years. This is the FIRST time NI have a team ready.
I recently joined the Belfast Canoe Club who have been extremely supportive and encouraging in my winter training. They are also raising funds for myself and for new boats and will paddle along side me... maybe not all 5 laps 😁
. To raise personal funds to cover expenses I will paddle weir to weir on the River Lagan 5 times which is a total distance of just over 45KM. A marathon equivalent. I aim to do this on 21 April 2018. Excess donations will be divided between BCC and Lagan Dragons

Whoopy doop doop Target smashed and 27.6 miles done in just over 6 hours.. Including just one wee stop 😁 I will be closing page in a few days (as still a few asking how to donate etc). Thank you all so very much for the love, support and your hard earned cash😘😘 I was neither tired no aching the next day. In fact I wish I'd raced with the Belfast Canoe Club. Right.... Next challenge

Omg! Today was the longest I've done anything in one go in my life. 27.6 miles completed in 6 hrs 30mins. The weather was for me albeit a few headwinds. I'm going to attempt to hold a wine glass in my callused hands. The alcohol may stop everything else from swaying 😂 Absolutely loving the donations still coming. You guys are awesome 💜💜💜

Having breast cancer 10yrs ago and seeing my mother and Aunt having the same has changed my outlook on life. Being a Lagan Dragon has opened up a whole new world. From February this year I have passed a kayak course, helm course and got a powerboat licence.
