Having come to Crete on holiday, it became apparent that there are many animals here struggling to live on the streets.
There were animals sleeping in the middle of the road and many just sleeping on the sidewalks, too exhausted to even move.

They need to be in proper shelters and maybe even taken to other countries to be re-homed.
It's a massive problem and needs time money and resources.
I am committed to coming back and trying to implement a program that will bring relief to these suffering creatures, working alongside local people who are trying already to engage in animal welfare and relieve their miserable lives.
If it can work here, it is possible to go to other Greek islands.
I would really appreciate any support, no matter how small, to come back and help the animals before the season changes, even though if the money was raised sooner it would be amazing to get them out of this terrible heat too - but I'm trying to be realistic.
I have been offered free accommodation and now just need the funds to set up the centres - as many as i can - and to feed and get veterinary care for those I rescue.
