After recently seeing the effect music therapy has on people with dementia, I felt I needed to contribute in some way to help more people experience these therapeutic, personalised music sessions as part of their treatment. Providing musical instruments and employing music therapy specialists to encourage patients to play and sing along, comes at a cost that many charities cannot sustain.

I know it seems like everyone is always asking you to put your hands in your pocket, but it’s not often I do. I am joined by 3 colleagues John Holmes, Stephen Goodall and Dave Barratt, and together we will cycle 600 miles from La Rochelle, France to Cheadle in the UK. Your support would be amazing.

We want to raise enough money to provide more musical instruments, more music therapy sessions and more music therapists to sit on a one to one basis with dementia sufferers and transform our miles into smiles.
