Story
We are the ARC Aftercare Recovery Community, offering volunteer peer support, guidance and therapies to those in recovery from whatever problems life has thrown at them.
We are a strong community growing larger as we reach out to those in need. We need your help and support to continue building the capacity of this service to reach out and help and encourage those affected by addiction in whatever form that takes.
We currently run every Friday from the Whiteinch Centre in the West End of Glasgow and have been delighted to welcome those from anywhere in the world to come along and be part of the ARC.
See for yourselves the strong sense of individual and community empowerment, come as a service user, bring your skills to the ARC in whatever form that takes. If you can offer any kind of therapy they would be greatfully recieved,,,,
We are urgently requiring your help and support to keep this service, that has in its 4 year existence, offered a support network to hundreds of individuals. Help us continue to grow and reach out to everyone who needs a little help through the storm... jump on board our ARC we can do this together. We care and we can make a difference ....
We host an average of 100 people at our Friday sessions and aim to continue this valuable and exciting work, supported by many other addiction services in Glasgow. Like many in this current climant, funding is hard to secure. We are passionate about our service as we see first hand the positive impact it has at an individual and community level. We are privileged to have played a part in many peoples' recovery and to have successfully integrated those affected by addiction into a community where they are able to feel a sense of hope, belonging and connection.
Our long term aim would be to enable us to expand the service, possibly hosting another day where we are able to come together and unite in our support for each other. Please help.
