Story
ARC 2.0 is a vibrant and dynamic church ministry that was planted out of ARC Global (a family and network of churches). As a ministry, ARC 2.0 recently obtained a building nestled in the heart of Newham, East London named Harold Road Centre. Our goal isn’t merely to offer a Sunday service experience, but to be an active pillar within our community on a daily basis. We aim to provide a hub for youth as well as adults in need of support.
The image below provides a data breakdown of various criminal acts recorded in 12 months in and around the local area. From these figures, it is clear that this community is in need of sincere support and investment that we are keen to provide. Community is our priority and safer streets is our aim.
We don’t just want to move in, but rather to usher in action that offers our local community insight, access and an opportunity for change. Your support is therefore, invaluable and works to positively influence those that encounter us to walk in their God-given purpose. Some of what we hope to use the building space for is outlined below:
* Youth Centre & Mentorship
* After-school Club
* Career Advice Hub
* Life-skills Workshops
* Performing Arts in our Theatre space
* Rehabilitation initiatives for substance users
* Homelessness initiatives
* Training course
Life-transforming initiatives, resources and activities will be birthed out of this project to serve our community. However, we can only do this with your support. What is unique about this project is that you can visit us and witness the impact of donation as the project evolves. Your donation does not renovate a building, rather it restores our community’s way of life.

“Harold Road Centre located in Plaistow, Newham was originally built as a Methodist church in 1903. Built on a prominent corner in the tree-lined residential street near Upton Park station, this is a well-loved building that has served the community for over one hundred years. Charities and local organisations have made use of the space over the years. Harold Road now requires restoring and needs a new lease of life, including the theatre space shown above. Harold Road Centre has always been a space for neighbours to organise, meet and provide help to those most in need. ARC 2.0 as the new are endeavouring to provide important organisational support to the local community sector in Newham.” ~ Peter Williams,
