Dementia Buddy are a fantastic charity that help people with dementia. This is a charity close to my heart as they help my grandad who has Alzheimers. They provide dementia cafes with lots of activities to help those with dementia. They also have the guardian angel scheme which provides devices such as wristbands, badges and keyrings which can electonically hold emergency contact details of those with dementia should they be found wondering around lost. These devices use NFC technology and with the tap of your phone you can help reunite them with their loved ones. These devices are £5 each but dementia buddy give 2 free to anyone living in the Wigan Borough with any form of dementia, this is why it is important to raise funds to help keep this fantastic scheme going.
