Story
Every year the Great North Air Ambulance saves lives and rescues people in rural and isolated areas. The organisation depends on donations to continue, hence why the money raised is going 50:50 between the air ambulance and the cricket club.
With three helicopters to fund and a team of 18 highly trained technicians, the GNAA is costly but the work it does is vital.
Aldbrough St John Cricket Club has decided to do a gruelling 19 mile walk for charity in the Lake District, taking in several of the country's tallest peaks, including Sca Fell Pike, to raise money for this worthy cause.
Funds will be split with the club, which is striving to buy covers for the first time in the club's 107 year history.
