On Friday 18th May, Lizzie, Rachel, Sam and Helen will be abseiling 150ft down Peterborough Cathedral to raise money for Shine and Peterborough Cathedral. Please help make their sleepless nights worthwhile by supporting the cause!

It will not be for the faint hearted. Having ascended the ancient spiral staircase within the great North West Tower and taken in breathtaking views across the City, the girls will clip in and descend the 150 foot vertical drop, cheered on by friends, family and colleagues (watching from a safe distance) below. Derby Mountain Rescue will be on hand to safely guide the proceedings.

The event is being held to raise money for both the Cathedral and the Peterborough-based charity ‘Shine’, which provides specialist support for people affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus – complex conditions affecting movement, learning and health.
