Much like the situation facing indigenous people in Dakota, the Loma de Bacum community, in North West Mexico is facing State sponsored violence so that a new gas pipeline can be constructed without their consent.

The pipeline would permanently affect 90 kilometres in the collective territories of the 8 Yaqui communities in Sonora, Mexico. Anabela Jeka Carlon Flores, a qualified lawyer and someone InsightShare has been working with since 2010, is in serious danger after a recent episode of violence.
