Story
In the tiny Kingdom of eSwatini, formerly Swaziland, poverty is pervasive and education is the key to future survival. I met Phepile Dlamini, single mother of Comfort Nguni whose father does not contribute in any way to his financial needs. Phepile is one of the lucky ones, she has a job where she earns £75 per month, cleaning cabins for tourists in the Malolotja Nature Reserve. She rises at 4.00 am, tends to the needs of her son and then walks 2 hours to reach her place of work. At 4pm, she begins the walk home arriving at 6 pm to cook and clean. Seven days per week. From her salary of £75 per month, she has to feed and clothe herself and her son and try to find the £400 per year for school fees and then the funds for books and stationery. Phepile is just one of many needy parents whose children's' futures depend on a decent education. Lets give these children a future.
