Story
Our friends 3 year old daughter Sienna has been fighting cancer for the last year and a half. She is absolutely amazing and the most smiley little person we know! Sienna has been in and out of remission but recently the cancer has come back again and she's taken it all in her stride.
Stu and I are running the York Marathon on October 8th and are raising money for Sienna to get away and have a holiday with her family if and when she is able to. As there is some uncertainty with treatment there is a chance that the family would not be able to get away and if so the money will go straight to Candlelighters, who are an amazing Children's Cancer Charity in Yorkshire. Also if we raise more than they need, the rest will also go to this great Charity.
The family would love to take her away and we would be so grateful for your help to let them do this! We hope that you will be able to donate some money to help Sienna make special memories.

Stu sadly wasn't able to run due to his knee injury, but I did and your generous support kept me going especially when I was struggling! I managed it in 04:26 which I was really happy with, especially after the various illnesses we've had this last month! So I guess now we will say thank you once again, and the next post will hopefully be a little update to let you know how Sienna and her family have chosen to spend the money :) THANK YOU!!

7 years agoTo all our wonderful supporters, thank you so so much for your generosity - Sienna and her family will hopefully be able to do something really special with the money raised. In all honesty, we couldn't have asked for a worse month in the run up to tomorrow! We've both been fighting chest infections, only to have horrible gastroenteritis the last few days... on top of which Stu's historically dodgy knees have been playing up again. What a team! Despite this, we're really hoping we can still run and will keep you updated! Big love and thanks x

We wouldn't exactly call ourselves 'runners' but our brother-in-law thought it would be a great idea to sign us up to the York Marathon as our wedding present end of last year(Thanks Scott!) So here we are - one year on, with a brilliant cause - running for the lovely Sienna!
