So many of you know me as Ben Sherriff, builder, entrepreneur and owner of several local businesses. The time has come for me to start giving back to the community that has helped me so much.

What many people don't know is I have battled problems with debt, alcohol and drug abuse and at some points in my past have walked down some very dark paths in life.

I am now well and have spent the past decade re building myself and now I am able to give some time I would like to support the YMCA by taking part in their sleep out event. I hope to take a more active role in the charity and continue to work with them to raise funds from the public.

This November I will spend a weekend sleeping rough, one night in Tamworth then walking back to Burton to spend a folowling night in a graveyard. I am looking to you as family and friends to not just support me, but the whole YMCA family and all the lives they come into contact with. Life can change at any point for anyone one and its important that we continue to support charities that do such important work for our community.
