Story
The tennis courts in Innerleithen desperately need resurfaced and the club are organising an all day tennis-a-thon to raise funds.
Ben has been a member of the club for 6 years and had hoped to be playing tennis tomorrow. Unfortunately he had a bad accident and fractured his wrist and severely damaged the ligaments in his ankle.
Not to be deterred he has decided that he still wants to take part and has set himself a target of hitting 1000 balls in an hour. No mean feat with only one functioning arm and leg!
Any donation, will be much appreciated by Ben and the tennis club.

7 years agoThank you all so much for your kind donations to Ben's fundraising efforts. And. Apologies for the lateness of this message - technical glitch (aka user ignorance) and thought it had posted when it apparently hadn't. Ben is so proud that he has raised so much money and it was a great confidence boost at a time when he was feeling low because he was so restrained by his injuries. Good news is that he has now been given the all clear by the physio to start gentle exercise and the tennis club raised nearly £2000 from their fundraising day!
