I was diagnosed with diabetes in 1989 at the age of 9. At the age of 25 I began experiencing severe complications including sight loss, autonomic and peripheral neuropathy, gastroparesis and kidney failure. It was thought unlikely that I would live to see my 30th birthday, however in 2008 I received a life saving Pancreas Transplant. The recovery has been a long, slow process but year upon year I am pushing my limits and exceeding expectation, surprising no one more than myself! It has not always been easy and there have been further stomach surgeries and even thyroid cancer to overcome along the way! Music has always been important to me and all through my illness and recovery attending live music events has been an essential part of maintaining a quality of life, positivity and mental well being. This is why the Attitude is Everything ethos is so close to my heart.

I need to raise £100 to run, but am hoping to exceed that amount so give generously!!
