Jacob is a determined, funny, cheeky 5year-old from Andover, he wants to be a football player when he grows up!

He was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy (CP) Spastic Diplegia when he was just two years old after failing to meet the normal developmental milestones. Cerebral palsy affects his legs, making them painful and stiff. This causes tightness in his legs making walking difficult, climbing the stairs even harder and running impossible. Jacob can neither stand or walk independently .

There isn't a cure for Cerebral Palsy, but there is life changing surgery called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) . SDR is the only surgical procedure that will permanently reduce or eliminate the tightness that causes Jacob to stumble and fall on a daily basis. The results are simply incredible and children that were told they would never walk are not only walking, thay are running, jumping and dancing too.

The operation, which involves cutting some of the damaged nerves in the lower spine, isn’t available on the NHS and so to give Jacob the best possible chance of independence we need to raise £80,000 forJust4Children.

This will cover surgery, intensive recuperation, 2 years prolonges physiotherapy and post-operative equipment that he will need.
