Story
We run Brambles Wildlife Rescue based in Blackpool. As volunteers, we take in wildlife from Blackpool, Fylde Coast, Preston, Bolton, and surrounding areas. The running costs of helping wildlife in our care are between £300 - £600 per month. We are raising funds to keep our doors open for 2022 and expand our current cages.
Our costs cover rehabilitation care, puppy pads, veterinary grade disinfectant/s, a wide variety of medications including, worming injectables and injectable and tablet antibiotics, antiseptics, aloe vera, sterile water for injections, dressings, bandages, vitamin supplements, syringes, tubing, needles, hand feeding formula, puppy and kitten milk, bird food, hedgehog food, hedgehog boxes, heat pads, perches, bowls, and wildlife release transport cages.
We receive no government or supported funding and the costs are currently covered by ourselves and the generosity of public donations. Your donation will go directly towards the costs of treatment and care of the wildlife we take in to rehabilitate and release back to their natural habitat or transport them to a safe and secure sanctuary.
We are also saving for a further set of veterinary recovery cages units to upgrade our remaining hutches to give injured wildlife the best care to recover and release back to the wild. The veterinary cages alone will cost £4500. We are so grateful for any financial support we receive to help us keep going! Every penny counts and is put into the operation and care of rescued wildlife we receive.
Thank you so much for helping the wildlife by donating, no matter how small. every penny counts!

2 years agoBrambles Wildlife Rescue funding update. As difficult financial times have hit mostly everyone, due to the ecomnic downturn, at the rescue also has seen a drop in donations by 26% to date this year so far, unfortunately. In turn, we have had an up increase in demand compared to last year the rescue inpatient capacity has now been full to the available beds/pens capacity now going into its 7th week. Unfortunately, there is no sign of a dip in a downward turn so far. :( Thank you for all your loyal and continued support! Kind Regards J&M@ BWR

It was very impressive that you came out late on a miserable night to Stanley Park to rescue a swan that someone had reported was in trouble
