Good news!! We have just been given half a ton of sapele hardwood completely free of charge. The machinist made a whoopsie and planed it all a bit too thin for the order, so asked if we could make use of it. I wasn't going to turn down £2,000 worth of timber!! We still need monjey for equipment and sorting out a shop to sell items we make though, so let's get things rolling!!

We now have no fewer than twenty five candidates for the work experience program. I am now having to put any further names onto a waiting list with start dates as far off as July 2018, and that is having three groups per week, two days per group. This just goes to show how much in demand this sort of venture is in this area. I have also spoken to several local timber merchants, and they are willing to support us by offering substantial discounts on materials. All we need now is the funding, so come and lets make this happen!!
