The Jags are off to Hampden!

With the current pandemic, it is looking unlikely we will reach the Scottish Cup Final anytime soon, but that will not stop us trying to get there, and we have accepted a unique challenge started by Inverurie Locos.

The challenge is for each member of the team to run for 1 hour over a 24-hour period where each hour slot is drawn and assigned to a squad member. At the end of the 24 hours, the distances will be tallied up, posted on Social Media and then a nomination for another HFL, Junior or Amateur team to take on the challenge. We are also setting the ambitious target for the Jags to cover the 319km distance from Victoria Park to Hampden over the 24 hours. With current travel restrictions, we are unable to scatter the players down the A9 to form a relay, so running will be done locally, starting on Saturday the 20th of June. The distances covered by the team will be uploaded using tracking apps and posted to see the progress.

The continued support from the Buckie Thistle supporters during this unprecedented time has been outstanding and enormously appreciated. We call on you again as we prepare for the Jags24 Team Challenge to raise funds for the local community.

We will be raising money for Buckie Cancer Link, Buckie Salvation Army, Friends of Seafield Hospital, Parklands Care Home and Netherha Care Home.
