Don't have time to donate right now?

Throughout the month of June the Sports Park Fitness Centre will be raising funds to help support vital conservation efforts in North Sumatra Indonesia, one of the most endangered tropical ecosystems on the planet.

The SP Fitness Team challenge you to Run, Row and Cycle the 15,080km from the UEA Sports Park in Norwich to the village of Bukit Lawang in rural North Sumatra.

The funds you raise will be going to the Bukit Lawang Charitable Trust, a conservation and education charity. Once you have made your donation make sure you register your name with the Fitness Team so that we can log your mileage!

And don't forget there is a chance to win a FREE Personal Training session for the most mileage covered within the month of June and a FREE Sports Massage session for the most generous donation.

REMEMBER to put your name followed by the word GYM on your donation if you want a chance to win these amazing prizes!

On top of that, on the 22nd of June Sam Oakes, one of the Personal Trainers and Fitness Advisers at the SP Gym will be running a 100km Trail Ultra Marathon to help further this amazing cause! so make sure you wish him luck if you see him in the Gym.

In addition He will then be leaving the Sports Park to donate his time to join the amazing team of volunteers and staff at the Bukit Lawang Trust as their new Head of Conservation. In this role he will be taking a lead on the Trusts conservation programs and directly supporting the fantastic and vital work the Trust is doing in North Sumatra.

The trust is situated on the edge of the Leuser Ecosystem, the last place on Earth where Orangutans, Rhinos, Elephants and Tigers live together in the wild. It is one of the last Tropical Rain forests in the world and is under constant threat from human development in Palm oil, paper and pulp plantations.

Please help us to help our world and support the Bukit Lawang Trust and all the phenomenal work it does both in education and conservation, protecting our world on our behalf.

    Thank you!
