Story
I am doing a 10 mile sponsored walk to raise funds for my working expedition to Ecuador next year. I will be walking to Hardy's Monument from Dorchester town centre and back.
The money I raise will go towards the total cost of my expedition of £4000. Whilst in Ecuador, I will be helping local builders, carpenters etc. to build schools or community buildings as well as doing conservation work in the Cloud Forest.
Did you know that children in Ecuador may have a 4 hour walk to school and therefore many do not attend? Having a local school in or near their village will mean that more children go to school, therefore resulting in more children being able to learn and have greater opportunities in future life. I really believe that every child should have the chance to be the best they can.
Conserving the Cloud Forest will protect the Spectacled Bear population as well as the huge variety of other wildlife that live in the forest. I want to make sure that our planet's resources are protected for the benefit and enjoyment of generations to come.
Please help me by sponsoring my walk, which will be similar to that faced by kids in Ecuador every day if they want to go to school.
Thank-you very much!

I am a Year 12 student and love all types of sports and physical activities. I'm really looking forward to working in remote communities in Ecuador to help them improve their life choices and environment. I also can't wait to share my love of sport with the children.
