    Story

After spending the last few months living in a rural ghanian community called Nsuta, I am left touched by the people here. There have of course been personal and work challenges along the way but this group of volunteers i've worked with really are making a difference and changing mindsets within the community. Our research has concluded that health and sanitation is a major issue in this community, with the nearest hospital many miles away the need for acess to health care in the community is crucial. In addition, education and available materials in schools is extremely poor. Students are taught ICT thtough a textbook with no hope of getting close to a computer as none exist. With this work, positive intention must be present alongside adequate assistance, we are here to empower not to just give. I want to raise some funds towards an ongoing project which is to build the first ICT block in the community and also start the process of raising funds for the first health clinic. Both of these developments would make the world of difference to all members of this community. Engaging the community in their own fundraising is in my opinion a crucial component of the journey from start to finish. It presents the reality that they too are part of it and therefore can take great pride when the project is complete. That is exactly what we did, this week we raised 500 ghana cedis the equivalent of £100. All funds were donated by various community members. To give this effort a boost i would love to double that number and raise £200.

Any donation would be appreciated by all the people of Nsuta and the future generations to come.Thank you.

All donations will go straight to the project at hand it will not go through a charity or NGO where costs may need to be covered. You will be donating straight to the people and a local NGO called SODIA will oversee the funds are used correctly as intended.

    All the love
