Kieran was dumped in a box with his two sisters at 4 weeks of age. I have cared for him for the last 4 months and he is the sweetest, fluffiest kitten you could ever meet. Two months ago, he started to have problems walking. After x-rays were taken, it was discovered that he had a spinal injury of some kind, but as he was still so small it was very difficult to see properly. He was taken back to the vet this week for more x-rays and it has been confirmed that he has a genetic defect in his lower spine called Lordosis. This has caused his hips to develop incorrectly, allowing a small space for his poop to come out. It is only just over 0.5 cm in width, and it needs to be more than double this. As a result, he is very constipated and incredibly uncomfortable.

Kieran requires multiple surgeries to correct this problem. He may even end up needing a wheelchair. His pain and discomfort needs to be managed and so does his constipation. There is no telling how much this will cost in the end, but any help at all would be gratefully received. I will do anything to save this little boy and give him the happiest life possible.
