The third and final challenge of the Trilogy of Trilogies
First there was a Tough day on the Welsh 3 peaks . 11 of us took on the challenge and all managed to finish after a day of 4 seasons ending with a freezing cold Pen y fan.
Second was a very wet and muddy Yorkshire 3 peaks . A superb team of 12 endured a cold 11 hours in some of the worst weather Yorkshire can muster up .
Now the final challenge the National 3 peaks .
On Friday 24th we leave South Wales for Fort William and a bunkhouse where we will sleep until 0230 . At 0300 we depart of the accommodation and will be stepping onto Ben Nevis at 0330. We are aiming for a 5 hour trip and all hope for a clear night and Special sunrise . Fingers crossed.
A 5 hour road trip to Wasdale will see us arrive at the foot of Scafell pike England's highest peak . We are aiming for a 4 hour round trip , again Fingers crossed for clear weather and a view .
Next will be another 5 hour drive to Llanberis in Snowdonia where we will hike Wales highest peak Snowdon . This will be done in the dark and another target of 4hours .
We then walk a short distance to our accommodation in Llanberis where we will sleep .
We will after a big breakfast be heading back to South Wales and another 5 hour drive at 0930
I'm hoping the team then relax and catch missed sleep up , for me iv a 2hour drive to work and a 13hr shift . Monday morning 7am will never seem so good . Il sleep !!!!
