This is my story I'm 27 and for the past 15years my family have been dealing with a massive change in our lives . When I was 12 years old my Dad was told he had multiple sclerosis (MS) a few years past and our lives changed completely we as a family had to adapt to Dad losing the use of his legs and being in a wheelchair this was very hard to deal with . For him giving up his job Year by year things have happened quickly and we began to realise this was getting really serious. Losing control of his bladder he then went under surgery for colostomy bag and a permanent catheter . It seemed to get harder and harder to deal with . An soon after this operation we nearly lost him he had got a problem with the colostomy and the stool was trapped inside and caused it to poison his insides and we had to call ambulance which took him straight down to surgery. 7weeks in hospital recovering he was sent home 😊But since all of this he lost control of one of his arms and now can only be hoisted to be repositioned in bed or hoisted to get up . High doses of medicine he takes is dangerous but keeps pain levels lower .Life has become a real struggle and some days for him he would rather not be here but he powers on for us .He is able to move one arm and neck now which isn't great but he's still here so got to look at the plus side . Life isn't easy and a day out in his chair cost a few days recoving he has 5 grandchildren that think the world of him and everyday is a bonus and appreciated. Having a new disability car would make life easier to travel and would guarantee to get him from A to B . He goes to Pricilla bacon lodge for rest and help with pain and try different medication but they have now told us there is no more he can try . So he has given up hope of being comfortable but I'd love to surprise him with something to make him want to get up and go out .Give him support and abit of happiness . Thank you
