Weʼve raised £2,760 to help try and replace 30 years worth of tools that were in a van and stolen by heartless criminals.

    Story

So our family started a very normal Saturday on June 30th. Plans to meet were made, Steve and my mum Sue were to meet us in Manchester for a family get together.
Whilst having dinner, Steve received the phone call that would change his life.
His parents had been involved in a car accident.
That phone call was to be the start of what has been one of the worst weeks our family has ever had. Airlifted to Manchester Royal, it was apparent that poor Tony and Mavis were in a terrible condition and had life threatening injuries.
The following few days were equally dreadful, it became apparent that Tony was not going to recover from his injuries.
Tony was moved to Salford ITCU. (Where he sadly later passed away leaving behind his wife of 56 years, his daughter Debra and Steve)
This is bad enough right? Steve is facing losing his beloved Dad, and his mum is still very poorly.
Imagine how he felt when he went to get something from his van, the van that held every tool, every bit of plumbing equipment he has acquired over his 30 year career was gone. Vanished. Someone, whilst Steve was processing the worst news anyone can ever recieve had taken not only his 'haven' (people who work in vans understand this, their van is like a sanctuary) but his entire livelihood. 30 years of accumulation, of the big stuff but also an infinite amount of odds and ends that will never be replaced.
But insurance will take care of that surely? Wrong! On a technicality, his van was stolen and not his tools.
Unbelievable. The best he can hope for is a negligible amount.
So why should we help? Apart from the nightmare he's going through. Steve Moss is one of life's GREAT GUYS! He has helped me and countless others over the years, without ever complaining. He's got a heart of gold, a family man, and we love him to bits. He didn't deserve this, and what we're hoping to raise won't cover a fraction of what he's lost. But it will allow him to at least get back to work. Any amount would be amazing.
