Excited to be working with RIPPLE Africa to fund the development of Computer Science in a rural area of Malawi.
We are looking for your help to support Project Malawi to support the training and development of Computer Science education in a remote rural region of Malawi. Through cooperation with an African charity RIPPLE Africa, CAS North West (Manchester) will be looking to bring computing education to a number of schools in Malawi.
We will be working with teachers and pupils to provide models of teaching and learning to support their development. We are looking to bring exciting computer science adventures to the schools and to leave a legacy of a lifelong love and appreciation of computer science.
Malawi is one of the poorest in the world in terms of income and any support offered will be greatly appreciated.
Our idea is to raise funds to purchase equipment like Raspberry Pi's, Pi-top Ceeds, Robots etc that we can then use to develop and deliver a range of teaching and learning experiences and school activities (including unplugged). The plan is then to leave these resources as a future legacy for the schools and children of Malawi.
