I was diagnosed with an invasive form of breast cancer in December 2016. Even though I knew that 1 in 2 people would get some form of cancer in their life, you never think that it's going to happen to you, especially at just 32 years old. From the moment I found out it has been a whirlwind few months with doctors appointments, scans, emergency IVF treatment, MRIs, ultrasounds, blood tests etc etc and I am now in the middle of Chemotherapy, I will also need surgery and then a course of Radiotherapy followed by injections for the next 10 years.

All of this wouldn't have been possible without Cancer Research UK and The Christie Hospital and emotionally without Maggies Centre, Manchester (who provide emotional support and workshops for people affected by cancer). All have provided and are still providing invaluable research, care and support, not just for me but thousands of others.

I want to raise as much money as possible to be split equally between the three mentioned charities. I will be holding a fundraiser event on the 11th June where a number of volunteers will be shaving their head or waxing their legs and their hair (for the head shavers and if possible) will be donated to The Little Princess Trust.
