    Story

We at the Catholic Travellers & Gypsies Facebook page, are going to try and raise money from the traveller and gypsy community for The Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) based at St Mary's Catholic Shrine, Warrington.

They recently paid out £500 on Altar Linens from Columbia, to be used for the Traditional Latin Mass' at St Mary's Shrine.

Also a repair to the Crucifix on the High Altar also need funding, there has been a quote of £700 for this, however the Priest are looking for cheaper quotes.

Anything we raise will go towards the Altar Linens and the repair of the Crucifix.

It will be a huge honour, privilege and blessing for travellers and gypsies to be able to contribute towards these scared items which will be used for the traditional Holy Mass for many years to come.

The Priests Fr de Malleray and Fr Mawdsley are currently training up 3 Irish traveller men, to serve the Traditional Latin Mass, so as a thank you and appreciation for their time and help, we have decided to try and raise some funds.

The money raised will go directly to St Mary's Shrine:

Here is a link to St Mary's Shrine website, which gives a detailed log of everything the your donated money is contributing towards. There is also photos of Fr. de Malleray blessing all the linens.

At St Mary's, it cost around £1444 each week to run and maintain. Their income is around £835, they have a shortfall of just over £600 a week. So they are in desperate need of donations.
