Above is a photo of Rocky Blue, a terribly sick and thin, stray cat. He was found wondering the streets of Corralejo suffering and alone. Even though he was found and is currently receiving medical treatment, his future is still very uncertain. If he had been found sooner, his chances would have increased. Unfortunately, this is not unusual. Specifically in Corralejo, support and resources are worrying.

Corralejo in Fuerteventura is overrun with stray, abandoned and unwanted cats of all ages. There is one remarkable lady, Lynne 'Catwoman', who does her best to feed, sterilise and care for sick and injured cats, but she is stretched to beyond capacity.

Cats are seen as vermin by many in Fuerteventura, they are frequently left to starve, poisoned or worse. I am fundraising to help the stray cat predicament in Corralejo. I intend to raise enough funds to enable the sterilisation of MANY, MANY cats to help keep the numbers down, reduce the spread of disease and ensure the current cats receive the medical attention and food they so desperately need.

I am looking to raise at least £1200 pounds to enable the sterilisation of at least 30 cats and kittens in Corralejo. Any funds raised above this will be used to sterilise more cats and buy cat food for them. I intend to get receipts from all vet bills to reassure everyone that the money is going to the poor, helpless cats.
