Ysgol Cefn Meiriadog is a special little school.

It's the kind of school where everyone cares for each other, helps each other, and the motto 'Learning Together Happy Forever' is taken to heart.

But the school has a problem:

Part of the playground needs a refresh, as some of the equipment no longer suits the needs of the school.

We - the PTA and school - are looking to resurface part of our playground, and create an exciting Sensory Garden in its place.

We'd love to rip out the old play equipment, and replace it with an inspiring place for our children to explore, enjoy, and treasure.

The truth is - the school receive very little funding to pay for things like this. It's up to the parents to take initiative - which is exactly what we're doing through crowdsourcing!

We're looking to install educational - yet fun - areas within the Sensory Garden to encourage stimulating play. Amongst other things, we'd love to build an eco-garden, mud kitchen, covered sand pit, and a music wall.

We'd also love to house some chickens, so the children can learn about caring for them - and encourage their entrepreneurial skills by selling the eggs to the parents.

£5000 would enable us to make all of this happen, and provide the children (the younger ones especially) with a safe, happy place to learn, play, and grow.
