We are raising money for the John Eastwood Hospice Trust and a Dollar for Dawson Appeal.

The John Eastwood Hospice is in the local Mansfield area and supports the NHS in the delivery of palliative care services to patients with cancer and other conditions requiring specialist palliative care. This is local to our community and has provided care to several loved ones.

A Dollar for Dawson appeal is raising £500,000 for Dawson who is a 21 months old local boy and suffers with the rare cancer Hepatoblasoma. The treatment he needs is available in the USA but is very costly but very affective and could save his life. He has very little time to get this amount.

We will be taking part in an 11 a side football match on 5th August 2017, 12:30pm kick off at Debdale Sports Centre, Mansfield. This will be Sutton Veterans #oldguard (average age 42) v Sutton Select #youngguard(average age 26) (old guys v young guys). The young guys believe the old guys are past it and want to show this on a football pitch. We have raised over £1200 in the past doing such an event and hope to raise even more this time.

Any donation no matter how small is vital to both charities so your help is really appreciated.

We will be printing a small program for the day and we already have local businesses buying advertising space for a small amount to support the day.

The people involved have all had loved ones affected by cancer and have lost loved ones to the disease.
