We’re looking to fundraise a further £2000 for Walkergate Park NHS Centre. We are holding the 'Brawl at Hedworth Hall' on 20th October 2017 a white collar amateur boxing night in association with Harton and Westoe Boxing Club. We are hoping between this page and the night to raise in excess of £10,000 for our charities!

As a number of people will be aware, my sister’s boyfriend Ahmed was involved in a serious car accident in January 2017, which resulted in critical and life threatening injuries. After a few months spent in intensive care at the RVI in Newcastle and another similar period at Sunderland until Ahmed was moved to the Walkergate Park Hospital to undergo intensive rehab. Ahmed is still in Walkergate now but thanks to the teams at the RVI, Sunderland and now Walkergate, he has now regained his speech and a range of other movements and skills to such an extent that Ahmed’s doctors are now very hopeful that a good recovery is on the cards after looking extremely unlikely only a few months before.
