My daughter has a friend called Lauren, who was born with scoliosis. She has already endured many operations, and hopes to travel to Germany to have another procedure, that could be life changing.

As you know I was taking part in the Mad March Mare 2018. I have raised just under £600 sponsorship which will help towards funding for Lauren’s spinal procedure. I cannot thank you enough for the kind donations, everyone has been so generous.

We have had an email from the event organisers postponing the event on Sat due to such adverse weather. It looks like the Beast from East has beaten us on this occasion. Obviously Im absolutely gutted that I’m not going to be running 10k across Hexham countryside, chucking myself over, through and under 30 obstacles as well as climbing waterfalls, jumping in water pits and lakes.

However, your donations are not in vain, as I’m running the Great North Run and if you are happy to transfer the sponsor money to that challenge instead I’m very grateful.
