Hi, my names Charlotte Watret and I am fundraising in hope to better the lives of less privileged children in sri lanka, help the environment and to also experience new things.

With your help, I can spend 3 weeks throughout July 2017, combining several projects which aim to rehabilitate and conserve the environment - focusing mainly on marine and wildlife. Forest replantation, beach and river clean ups, helping animal hospitals, tree nurseries and helping out at a turtle hatchery, are just a handful of things i will be doing.

Furthermore, I will be spending a week getting involved in the local schools, offering a unique experience for pupils from local communities in Sri Lanka to gain a higher level of English language, developing key skills for their futures. Whilst I am volunteering at the school, I will be assisting the teachers in lessons, planning my own lessons and offering support.

I see what I plan to do to be really important and I strongly believe it will make a huge difference within the communities. Amongst all of this, going to Sri Lanka will enable me to explore and experience new things and I will be extremely grateful for any donations made. Your donations will help me cover the cost of my flights(£500) and the remains shall be given to Travelteer Impact - the charity that is running this trip and offering me such an amazing experience to benefit and help sustain the lives of Sri Lankan communities.
