Weʼve raised £910 to Charlie will Climb Pen-Y-Fan to raise funds for a state of the art Power/Mannual Off Road Wheelchair....

Funded on Saturday, 28th October 2017

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

Charlie has a condition called "Paroxysmal Non-Kinesogenic Choreoathetosis" (Rare Muscle Disorder) He is 1 of 5 in the World with this...He also suffers a Rare form of Dystonia Attaxia, which causes Cramping of the Muscles all at the same time (including the heart muscle)...
Charlie has always used a Wheelchair (although can walk very short distances), but this chair that the fundraising is for would enable Charlie to not just use it around town, but to go Off Road over every terrain possible. Through, thick grass, sand, snow (when we get it)!, mud & even rocky surfaces...As Charlie has Always loved the outdoors, it would mean the World to him to have this "State of the Art" Trekenetic GTE Wheelchair designed by Formula 1 Engineers...This is a Power Chair but with the flick of a switch can become a manual...which is Excellent as Charlie suffers with his shoulders due to the movement of propelling himself in the chair he has now...
The Trekenetic GTE is lighter to lift than his chair he has now (even with the motors in the wheels)
Some friends have offered to help with some fundraising, but Charlie said he wanted to be involved too & help in raising the funds needed, hence his decision to climb Pen-Y-Fan....He has a good team of people going up with him but would be VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD SPONSOR HIM AS THIS CLIMB WILL BE ONE HELL OF A THING FOR HIM TO ACHIEVE .....Thankyou xx

Hi All, so the donations are coming in via people who are Happy to help Charlie in his goal towards a state of the art Wheelchair. Thankyou to those that have donated so far..💝 Due to physiotherapist advice we had to change the date from September 2017 to April 15th next year..but this Will give Charlie better chance of completing his quest! At the same time it means Charlie will have more support on the day as more friends have asked to join...and gives us longer to fundraise!..Thankyou very much again to those who have supported so far x💝x
