I am going to be travelling to Ol Pejeta Kenya in January to do vital conservation work for wild animals and animals being looked after on their site. These animals are at Ol Pejeta because they have either been poached, injured, abandoned or are endangered species. The program that I am going to, supports and rehabilitates these beautiful animals and restores their faith in humans. For me to be accepted to volunteer at this program was an absolute dream and I have been waiting a very long time do go out to Africa and help these animals. Whilst I am there I will be caring for animals on site, helping to train puppies and dogs for the anti poaching unit, going out on safari game drives to help with numbers and statistics on animals currently in the wild. I will also have an amazing opportunity to meet and help care for the last male Northern White Rhino; Sudan. Many conservationists and scientists are working day and night to try and attempt to save his species of rhino. To begin this journey I am hoping to raise £500 which would be a great help to me as it would allow me to take part in the Ol Pejeta program and help these endangered animals who need our help at this vital time of conservation.
