Bring Christine Home for Christmas

We are launching this appeal to help us bring Christine home for Christmas.

We are the family of Christine Stockdale who is currently receiving life-saving treatment in Turkey after falling ill while on holiday.

We need to get Christine home to help her make a full recovery.

All donations to this page will go directly towards Christine’s medically supported flight back to the UK.

Christine’s treatment has been paid for by us, her family. We are trying to raise enough money to buy a medically supported flight back to the UK. We can’t afford it ourselves, and as a family we will struggle to fund the ongoing lifesaving treatment in Turkey.

More About Christine

Christine Stockdale is currently in critical condition in hospital in Turkey. After taking ill whilst on holiday with her husband, John, the mother of two received an urgent operation and is now being treated following various complications. Tragically, Christine was due to receive a minor operation in the UK, but due to NHS backlogs and emergencies this was cancelled three times. Christine's husband was given the 'ok' to travel to Turkey by hospital staff and where informed that the operation could be carried out when they returned to the UK. Turkish Doctors have since confirmed that the operation was urgently required, and Christine would have certainly fallen ill at home as a result.

Christine, from Middlesbrough, dedicated her working life to the students at Middlesbrough College as well as raising her two children, and devoting many hours to her two granddaughters.

Christine is a wonderful and much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Christine’s husband and son are with her in Turkey and are being supported by the British Embassy in Antalya who are aiding with translation and advice but are unable to support financially.

It’s our dream to bring Christine home for Christmas so she can receive the life saving treatment at home where she belongs. It’s all we want.

Anyone who knows Christine would describe her as the best of people. She’s entirely selfless. She would do anything for anyone. A loving and warm woman, who’s always put her family first. She really is a special person.

We appreciate the smallest donation. We know that everyone is stretched right now and Christmas is just around the corner.
