My name is Chloe Barnett and I am 16 studying A Level Psychology, Biology, Health & Social & Geography at Prince Henry's High School 6th form in Evesham.

I have taken on a commitment to get involved and be part of a wonderful opportunity through my school & world challenge to help others less fortunate than myself. I have to raise £4300 to fund my expedition costs to Cambodia and Laos in July/August 2017 to do volunteer work improving the standard of living for the poorer families in these countries & to help support future improvement in their way of life.

I feel I am a very lucky person to have such a loving family & friends who support and encourage me with everything I do, so I wanted to take this chance to do this for others less fortunate than myself. It will be nice to give hope and opportunity to others and give them the basics many people take for granted in the western world. I am exciting to help the families and engage with the young children and try and bring a smile to their faces.

I will be spending my summer holidays trekking across the Cambodian and Laos jungles, sleeping in hammocks and staying with the locals whilst completing a 2 weeks community project designed to help improve their way of living and support self improvement.

I made a personal commitment to my parents that I would look to raise a minimum of £2,000 myself so I would be so grateful for any support with my fundraising events to help me achieve this. Any money raised over the £4,000 will be given to a local charity supporting young mental health Issues as it has been widely reported the gaps in the NHS budgets to properly support our young people and continued support for Alzheimer's and Dementia in support of a close family friend.
